Project type: Self-initiated concept project

Concept render of the AXIOM X1 compute module: a long, dark brushed-metal enclosure with finned cooling ends and blue edge lighting, in a dark studio.

01Overview

A digital product experience for an imagined AI hardware brand and its first compute module.

AXIOM Compute is a self-initiated concept project by LAB7: the website of an imagined AI hardware brand and its first product, the X1 compute module. The site presents the X1 as a piece of industrial design, from its enclosure and cooling to an interactive look inside, while making clear that the brand and the product are a concept.

02Challenge

How do you present a technologically complex product in a way that is clear, visually compelling and convincing at the same time? The challenge was to create a digital experience that reveals the product's character, its design and its inner architecture, without overwhelming visitors with technical information.

03Approach

The visual direction presents the X1 as if photographed in a dark studio: graphite and titanium surfaces, a single blue accent and precise, generous typography. Large product images carry the story, and each section adds a new layer of understanding. Motion is restrained, and an interactive explorer lets visitors look inside the module one area at a time.

The Inside X1 explorer on desktop with Compute Core selected: the view zoomed onto the central chip of the opened module, beside the heading “Compute Core”.
The AXIOM Compute homepage on a phone: the headline “Intelligence at Scale.” and an “Explore X1” button above the module.
The Inside X1 explorer on a phone with System Interconnect selected: a schematic of connections over the module's chip and memory, labelled as a conceptual visualization.

04What we built

We designed and developed a single-page website for the X1. It leads from a cinematic first view through the product's enclosure and thermal design to Inside X1, an explorer that focuses on four areas of the module: the thermal system, compute core, memory and interconnect. The page closes with three conceptual applications and the brand's vision. The explorer works by touch, mouse and keyboard on every screen size.
